Tomatoes are planted

Just finished the major portion of the tomato planting today!

By July, these tomatoes will reach the tops of their trellis lines!

We have a few more to plant come 4th of July, but so far we have 1800 plants in the ground.  About 200 plants are grafted this year, something new to us.    There is about 30 types out there, and a whole greenhouse of just cherry tomatoes of all different kinds.

Now the real work begins–for the next 6 weeks we will trellis and prune the plants about once a week.  We will keep the temperature monitored so it doesn’t get too hot, and also use lots of fish fertilizer to make big healthy plants.
